Criteria
Criteria for students to be eligible to receive the S.L. and MITTIE PARSLEY NURSING SCHOLARSHIP:
The recipient(s) must
- Be enrolled with Columbia State as a degree seeking student (full or part time)
- Be accepted in the nursing program
- Live in Maury or Williamson Counties
Selection of Recipients
- Scholarship awards will be recommended by the Dean of Health Sciences in concert with nursing faculty. The donor valued the concern and care provided by nurses to his parents and would be pleased if selected student(s) demonstrated such caring characteristics.
Amount and Duration of the Award
- Total award is for two student scholarships with the amount available for award to be divided between the two scholarships. Scholarships are not to exceed the amount available for funding each year.
- The award will be for an academic year to be divided between fall and spring semesters.
- Individual scholarships will not exceed the amount of tuition, books and fees.
Reapplication
- A student(s) may reapply for the scholarship if continuing to meet other scholarship criteria.
- Recipients must maintain academic and overall good standing with the College according to institutional policies.
Sally Lou Steenbergen Scholarship

Slaughter-King Family Scholarship
Criteria for students to be eligible to receive the SLAUGHTER-KING FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP:
o Be enrolled with Columbia State as a degree seeking student (full or part time)

o Have financial need

o Scholarship awards will be made by a committee of College faculty and/or staff as authorized by the College in concert with Foundation policies.
